U are cleared hot!
Just wanted to get some input on the seats, i do not carry alot of passengers just for the simple fact do not want the responsibilty if a women gets hurt or something. So my question is should i just the p-pad or the 2 up seat. alot of different mixed reactions on other forums. then when i read the instructions it talks about the p-pad slipping, so i am afraid if i hit the throttle hard i am going to see a brunette sliding off the back. any suggestions. thanks

You need to talk to the women on here that have a lot of miles on the back of these two seats.
My wife will tell you the 2 up is WAY BETTER!!! On the P-pad she constantly slid down as it sloped down real good. The 2-up has more of a cup shape to it so not to much sliding.
I have never had the P-pad slide on the fender though. It's squeezed in pretty good between the sissybar and front seat.
Most of us have both seats or started with the P-pad then moved to the 2 up.
By the way, I think the single seat is more comfortable on long trips than the 2-up seat as far as the front goes!!!

Lots of threads on this subject.

I know people are going to crush me when I say this but I do not plan on making long trips with another person, or in general. I am not hardcore as of yet. So it would mainly be for short distances anyways, aftering reading the threads on this and what others have said my best bet is to buy a p-pad and if I find someone I want to put on the more ofton then upgrade. This may be a stupid question, but I am such a novice to this, I dont need a sissy bar right for the p-pad, I would rather go solo than put one of those on?

You don't need a sissy bar but your passenger would probably like some foot pegs. I think the pillion sounds like a good fit for you, just remember to keep the fender clean:up:

I skipped the P-pad and went straight for the 2-up, which stays on my bike all the time. It doesn't look as good as the solo seat, but I'm cool with that. If you are not riding with a passenger much, the pad should be just fine.

I have a p-pad and it has never slipped or moved after being put on. Make sure the fender is clean and before you put the p-pad on, clean the little suction cups real good before you install it. I have two different kinds of p-pads. The BDM one and a different one that I can't rememeber who makes it. Its alot better than the BDM and my wife likes it better than the 2-up seat BDM has. The BDM 2-up seat is thin and my other p-pad is thicker and softer than the 2-up. I do not use the BDM p-pad, so if you need one let know and I'll sale it cheap. Only been used once. Here is a pic of the p-pad I use

Hope this helps
