1 piece tank vs. 2 piece on a Pitbull..??

Is there any reason the 2004 Pitbull / Mastiff 2 piece tanks cannot be swapped for a one piece tank....say a chopper tank? Other than the plastic center part of course. Anyone seen or know of the challenges / details of a conversion like this?

I think that the mounting will be different under the tank. I've often thought about it myself but never really looked into it.

Would have to change some mounts for sure and depending on the mounts and how it sets up, may involve some grinding, welding and powder coating to get it right.

I like the Fat Bob myself though the plastic center piece could be better, plan to have a metal one made up later for it when I get around to a repaint.

Gotcha....I am hoping that someone has actually done this or at least did the comparison between tanks to scope the effort.
