I apologize if you guys have talked about this at nausuem.........If you do a rewire on a 06 ridgeback...can you use the bar switches? Or do they have to be swapped out because of voltage and circuitboard problems? If you swap them....does someone make a direct replace for the housings? Do you guys/gals just change out all the hand controls...and what brand? PM?

I've wired dozens of Harley based bikes....never a BD yet.

Thanks!!!! Love the show....I'll take my answer off the air!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Lots of info on this. Use the search in the technical section. You'll learn to do stuff you didn't even know you needed to do :banghead:

A wire plus or PDM kit is what most use to keep the factory buttons etc. A full rewire is a bit of extra, some say unnecessary, work.

I did a quick search.....came up dry, but I will broaden my search. Wire Plus has been jerkin me for a few months. They keep moving the release back for those not on a list....can't get anybody on the phone.....

Thank You for the reply.

You can use the BDM control switches if you buy the correct relays to power the ground switches Bdm used in the hand controls. There is a guy on here that just put up all his details he's running seperate relay's for all the controls.

There are tons of threads on options and even shops to contact if you want to get the work done.

Some guys will rip out the old BDM controls and go Harley style, however with that option you kind of have your hands tied and need to move to smaller diameter bars to fit the Harley stuff. Most shops will just chop off the ends of the bars and weld in thinner stock.

I'm not aware of anyone making direct replacements to the BDM switch houses although that would be cool as hell!
