When I first considered an open primary on my 06 Pitbull I was only thinking eye candy. I had no idea how much it was going to improve the bike
First the Clutch is a far better unit than the stock unit. It goes into gear with no clunk and has 0 drag, It will slide right back into Neutral with ease.
Next the chain primary would lash reguardless of adj. The only time I had a problem was at freeway speed anything under 75 mph in 6th was not happy
Now with the belt the 5th to 6th gear lash is gone and I can roll back and forth from 65 to 80 in 6th smooth as butta.
A very good product considering one now for the Ridgeback

Quick Question about your belt drive

Mr. D Did you do the install yourself ? If so what level of difficulty was it ? any special tools needed ? Thanks I am considering one for my recent purchase of a 2003 Pittbull

Yes I did do the Install, However I have been a wrench since 1972. It is an easy swap
I dropped the oil bag on my pitt for better access to the tranny bolts, but the instructions are straight forward and I think most guys could do the job in half a day
4 hrs. replace the trans and main seal while its apart
