Need suggestions, after bike sits on kick stand, i have oil on top of the primary, looks as if it may be coming from around the rear exhaust but not sure, also hear a dry sound at around 2500 rpms.

Eric, looks like you may be correct, back left corner has oil, I cannot get to that one with the allen I have due to it is under the frame and very little clearance, approx. 3/4 inch. is there special allen to get to it. i need allen with very short bend.

just grind one off until it goes in. be glad it's not a mastiff, you'd have to remove the tank

but more than likely it is not just the cover. it is probably the box itself and you will have to replace the box to jug gasket.

Thanks all, if box is needed to be replaced, may have to take to mechanic due to it looks as if the motor will need to be pulled to get bolt out.

Thanks for help

I have a leak in the same location on my 07 mastiff. Was able to pull the rocker box cover and check the rocker box - head bolts without any difficulty after grinding an Allen. Looks like it is still leaking. Have to order a gasket set. Not sure if I am up to pulling the box and adjusting the pushrods...

Is this a common issue with these motors?

Which bolt u having the problem with?

back left allen, i was able to grind down an allen and check thightness, seems tight, guess i will have to pull the rocker box and replace seals.

I had to replace rear gasket on my 2006 K9 It was not to bad,( I only did rear) I agree about 4 hours, but mainly because I took my time because it was the first time, having a shop manual will help a lot. torque spec. etc.

Rick, you need to remove the cover and then tighen down on the base. See my "Top End" thread in the how to section.
