Ok here are the bad points of Baker and why I went the route I did
The plate is 2 piece on a Baker versus I solid billrt plate on a karata
You can see the ring gear on a Baker so it shows a rusty gear starter totally hidden on a Karata
The number one reason I didnt do it was this forum do a search for Baker clutch`s countless problems

Hey Rub, what was the total cost of your set up. Installed, labor, everything? Thanks.
I bought it used on here from Showtime, wasnt any labor but all done with a new belt and remember I got the big clutch I had 2300 in it, I could have got a new Baker after a little research for about 1900 on ebay but after I heard the Karata video on here I was sold..labor shouldnt be much as you can install one in about 4 hours start to finish

Thanks Rub, appreciate the info. If I go with one, I kind of like the Karata.
The only thing I don't like about the Karata is the bearing support/cover plates that they offer, or at least show on their site.
There is another manufacturer that had a cover that I think they called ProStreet, looked awesome. Thanks again.

That bearing support looks just like the one trainguy has and it is a Karata
Huh, I wonder why it's not shown on there site? What they show on their site is a pretty limited selection to me, don't really like anything they are showing. Maybe trainguy will post up.
