what are the differances in the 04,05,06 pit bulls

05 - RSD dual tanks 117 cu in motor
06 - RSD single tank (redesign)

Yep, all three are different. The 06 is the long frame. Of course the 08 brought another complete design change again. Look them up on the BDM website. Go to the "Assesories" page and click on each year and it will show you the model.
