-03 shifter peg, male or female?

Does anyone remember whether the shifter and brake pegs are male or female on -03 Chopper (I assume they are the same on all models). Im not home and can’t check...
Getting tired of the aluminum on the shifter peg coloring the top of my Converses black

That would be great, now I have to open the dictionary to figure what is an appendage
