Intro....just bought my big dog mastiff two weeks ago. i live in ABQ nm. i am a mma fighter, just won my last fight on Sat 10/30/10. married with children.

my 03 mastiff will not start. it was starting up fine until i put a battery tender on it. after letting it charge all night i tried to start it up and it wont start but turns over. I tried using jumper cables and still nothing. i changed the spark plugs and nothing. the thunderheart light is NOT on. it will not blink or anything. all the lights, blinkers, tachometer and speedometer work fine. i read that it could be the ehc or the cam sensor but i do not know how to test to rule out either. please help. im not a mechanic by any means but found this info out by reading the service manual

FIRST OF ALL..... DON'T EVER JUMP START IT!!!!!! you could blow the EHC or Voltage Regulator.

1. Check the battery voltage at the terminals after the battery had been OFF the charger for at least an hour.
should be about 12.6 to 12.8 volts. If it isn't then then battery may be going bad.

2. Is there spark at the plugs?

3. Check all wires at the battery for a good clean connection and all the CRIMPS are tight on the wires.

4. Need to check for power to the ignition module when the switch is on.

5. Fuses? or circuit breakers popped?

Let us know the results................

whats the vr? according the the manual, the thunderheard ignition module light is not on so its not receiving power from the ehc or maybe the cam sensor. not sure how to test to see if those things are bad. all the connections looked good but i could not find any fuses
