'02 or '03 BD Chopper

I am looking seriously at 2 different BD Choppers. An '02 and an '03.... Both seem to be solid and each has its pros and cons but, overall, I would be good with either bike...
Any more wisdom that I can get from the group, between '02 & '03 would be greatly appreciated.

Only started the Chopper in 2003. So....are we talking Chopper or another model?

JR... this one is being sold as an ‘02 Chopper. Didn’t know they didn’t start making that model until’03... I do have to travel a ways to actually see it. Was planning on making the trip next week. I am waiting for him to send me the VIN on it this evening. I’ll wait for that and research it

Awesome.... a friend locally has on ‘03 for sale and I like it.. probably will end up buying that one. I know the history and it’s been well kept up... Just ran across this other one that is listed as an ‘02 but... evidently... it may not be...lol

I have seen a lot of people refer to all Big Dogs mistakenly as Choppers. If you are looking for a actual Chopper (i.e. raked and stretched). By the one your buddy is selling. You have no idea what you may be getting into with one that they aren't even sure of the year. JMHO.

I have seen a lot of people refer to all Big Dogs mistakenly as Choppers. If you are looking for a actual Chopper (i.e. raked and stretched). By the one your buddy is selling. You have no idea what you may be getting into with one that they aren't even sure of the year. JMHO.

My buddy’s bike is solid and he knows exactly what it is... the other one in question is the one thats not sure... I believe i jus checked that off my list and gonna buy my buddy’s BD... it IS an ‘03...

I would do the same, if you know what your buying and the person from its worth extra money knowing the care was taken

That bike does look nice something was done with the motor because it's powder coated so it was at least taken apart which could be good or bad. And It's a 2003 not 02
