Can you believe it? An electrical problem on this moto? That never happens!! Bullshit, right.

Ground cable came off and arched across a few times, and now I am getting: a light clinck, a small puff of smoke, and burnt electrical smell from battery compartment when I key on. If key left on, sizzling sound occurs. Thunder Heart does not light up. Just wondering what any of you experts might assume is the issue. Thank you in advance.

I’m no expert but it would definitely appear that you are fucked. There is no telling what you fried only hope it’s not everything. The key on wires burning and sizzling is a good indicator that you have screwed the pooch. Good luck.

It's hard for anyone to say what all needs to be replaced without seeing the bike. Got to find out what caused the issue or everything you put on it will burn up also

That’s almost impossible to do without seeing and testing things on your bike. Knothead is IMO the best wrench and very reasonable. You are 5 hours from him. Or find someone who is a good wrench by you and find out what the problem is. Just throwing money at it replacing things that people tell you could be the problem is not the smartest move. My light always turned on when the key was put in the run position. If you have nothing on the thunderheart, you’ll get nothing at all. Let me see if I can find one. No promises as I boxed a lot of stuff and not sure where I put it all. In the process of moving soon.
