Hi,thanks guys, the thing is is I have it about 2'' from top cold but when I check it hot it's over flowing ,it was serviced when i bought it and definitely over filled but shouldn't be still,is it normal for tank to have that much during operation, and should i take more out

Ive had my scooter for 18 years. Everytime I do an oil/filter change i fill the oil reservoir to anywhere within the neck with the scooter on the side stand. Empty filters can take in a lot of oil. I fire it up afterwards for a few minutes then check the oil. Been perfect every time.

Welcome from Florida! You should have 3 qts in the tank when filled after oil change. The sump generally has about 20 ozs. still in it after draining tank & changing filter unless you use a scavenger to remove that as well.

S&S told me to drain the crank but the plug wasnt coming off easily so i left it alone but obviously theres a lot more oil in there than anticipated,it did sit for a year so,,

Yeah DO NOT remove the sump plug. Your better off with a little dirty oil. If someone did a service for you they should have drained the tank/ changed the filter and added 3 qts to your tank. If you don’t have a dipstick on your oil plug make one with a old chopstick. Put a mark 3” from the bottom and put it to the top of the filler neck. Should be on the stick.

1 More question or i guess a confirmation ,Big Dog say NO SYNTHETIC in their brochure but S&S says basically pick synthetic or regular but stick with your choice,I tend to take S&S advice a little more than BD or am I out of line. I use synthetic,mobil1
