Can you get in touch with anyone who knows him? Could be another reason he's never at his shop, covid, auto wreck etc.
I would be getting my parts back if I had to go to his house! Pull up the local court website & see if anyone has filed papers against him for the same issue. I would definitely not be buying new parts. You need to get your tank & fenders back from him. And not pay him a penny!

I agree. But I really want to be able to ride this year. If I get the parts together and get my bike back together, and then eventually get my old ones back, I can sell them and get some of my money back. Hopefully I’d get good money for my old tins. And if I don’t ever get them back, well, I’d have to eventually find some anyway. But I don’t want it to stop me from riding this year. Spring is around the corner, and I still need them painted. I have the whole rest of the bike back together. I’ve even ran the the motor with a funnel zip tied to the back bone and have made sure all the electrical is good.
Sorry to tell you, there are no K9 tanks available. We have been looking for everyone we can find, in the junk yards. I am in the process of making a bracket to mount a Pit Bill tank to a K 9, but that will require you to redo your seat too.

As far as I know, the new tanks will fit on your K9 frame. As they have the same mounting. You could update to the new style tank, if you wanted to buy new...

@SBMike, I have a complete set, done by ED back in the day, titled LOST Soul, It's been boxed up for years...in mint condition (except for ONE batt side covers, one is flaking...having those redone when I get back late May)...fenders, tank, batt covers, etc....the problem is, I probably want too much $$$$$ for it 
.....it's a fuel injected k9 tank etc...can be modified to carb with a kit...but it is BAD ASS!!! I'll try and find pictures, but that would take years of photo searching.....I believe ED did the original LOST SOUL AIRBRUSHING back in the day...he can chime in....maybe HE has some pics...lol

A little more "slopey, more curvy" is how I'd describe it. Also more fuel capacity.
