Looking for a Ridgback 2008

Energy One
Hi everyone, let me start by saying I do not own a Big Dog yet but I have been wanting a Ridgeback for a long time and the time has come ...

Realistically how much should I expect to pay for an 08 Ridgbeack in decent shape , not looking for a perfect 10 but a bike that don’t have to do much work either , i would appreciate your input and súper excited to own one soon ...

Thanks in advance for your help

Thank you guys !! Keep you posted on my findings! In reality my budget is up to $10k , hopefully soon !

Any advice on what to look for as far as weak link ??

How often do you change rear tire and what’s the cost of that ?

My 330 back tire has been lasting between 5 and 8,000 miles. It all depends on how hard you ride. Don't forget also the lifetime of a tire which I believe runs around 5,000 miles but I've seen some changed at 10 years. I have original tires on a 2001 Bonneville Triumph!

Dennis Kirk has Avon AM42 Venom Tires for $294.

Most tires are designed to last 6 years from the manufacture date, this of course varies by manufacture. Keep in mind that the 2 tires on your bike are your only life support when riding and should be treated as the most important part of the bike. Old tires are not safe and should be changed regularly even if you don't ride a lot. Personally I won't leave a tire on my bikes for over 2 years...I usually go thru 2 or 3 sets in that time. I will run the fronts for 2 rear tires and then I change both. Good rule of thumb, If you have any question in your mind about whether you should change a tire...just change it and live to ride another day. They are cheap insurance.
