Thinking About Risers & Drag Bars

I didn't do separate risers and drag bars, did a one-piece replacement for a similar effect. Do you realize that your handlebar switches are 1 3/8 inches? If you're not going to change switch assemblies, you're going to have to do some cutting and welding to enable you to use the stock switches. It can be done, but it ain't cheap. It'll look good though. Here's a pic of my finished product, let me know if you need an additional pic or two, or pm me with any questions.

Big Dog used HD handlebar controls on the 2011 K9 250's so I shouldn't have to deal with that problem.

By the way, your bars look killer & more pics would be appreciated.

They look like their taller. Those are definately not stock. They look like the set I put on my Pit. I put a 8" rise but I have seen some people go with a 10" rise. The stock bars are made by Carlini. I put a set of drag Specialties on.

Stlmikie-The practical difference, besides the look, is about 2 inches less pullback, which was a personal choice I made for riding comfort. The stock bars simply had a bend that became uncomfortable at the wrist for me. In building these bars, we started with 1 1/2 inch buffalo bars, cut them off and welded a 1 3/8 section to them so they would accomodate the stock switches, then another small 1 inch pipe at the end for the grips. Expensive and time consuming, but much more comfortable for me; and I like the look, which counts for something.

I just bought a set of Chubby wild ones that look just like yours. I'm going to Harley controls so no problem. They look great on your bike!
