Well... you all know my feeling on how bad Michigan sucks... well the roads are some of the worst.

Well the dog bit a big one tonight...

Huge pot hole, bottom out the frame and threw me and the bike about 2 feet --> that way!!

Its not real bad... but I will have to call the insurance company tomry.

both forward controls (rear brake resv is even leaking)
peg set
lincense plate bracket
right rear blinker housing
hd louver lens
front brake lever
mirrors
exhaust
bdm air cleaner
and the 90 degree throttle tunnels at the hand controls

plus some gas tank scratch from that last part
oh... bottom left of frame where it impacted the pot hole along with gouges on the swingarm where it bottomed out...

Thanks guys....

i got some rash on my arm and knee... nothing bad... mostly under a 4"x4" bandaid type thing... I slowed down ALOT before I fell and went boom...

Here's a few shots I got earlier...
brake peg which the arm is actually bent as well, and the cylinder is leaking...

Gas tank where the throttle cables hit and yes.. I orginally wondered if I could just touch it up and ride... but then I started to find so many other things that needed to be fixed...

OMG... I wish I would just wake up....

my knee is starting to kill me, as well as my left hand, and my back... tomorrow is going to suck!!!

Chris, glad you are alright bro. The bike can be fixed but you are one of a kind so glad you are okay.
Guess you will be starting your winter projects a little early this year. Hopefully the insurance company comes through for you with plenty of compensation.

I caught a pothole the other night when I was merging onto I75 North from M10, WTF - we shouldn't have to deal with those until spring, or atleast until after a frost. :angry:
I was looking over my shoulder, leaning pretty far and accelerating strong... gauged my peg and started slapping my handlebars pretty hard, but no real issue.
The OL was in her car and thought I was F'ing around :loony: I was glad she was not on the back, but probably would not have allowed myself in that situation if she was.

Gas..hate to hear it man. Get better quick & I hope you get a good deal out of you ins. I had to check my pants after being launched nearly 2 feet off my seat the other day after hitting a pothole going around 70. Good thing I was going straight.
Sul...it's been the same here. Lots of folks going down lately. Just last Thursday a co-worker's husband got hit by a red light runner and lost his left leg 6" down from his knee. Off course the driver didn't have any insurance and was just written 3 tickets then sent off. Bullshit. Now I got the spooks again & it'll take another 2 weeks to get rid of them.

Yeah it sucks ballz. I hit one earlier in the season on 75 South near the rouge river bridge... it flopped my ass completely off the seat... kinda like what cutter described...

I have hit potholes I think even worse than this... this one wouldn't have been so bad if my frame wouldn't have hit. It was like you jacked up just that side of the frame. It was almost like one of those guys going up those ramps to drive on just the right side 2 wheels.. but I'm not in a car and didn't have the extra set of wheels.

I think even if I would have been more to the right when I hit it... I would have been fine if I didn't get ejected.

I'm sure State Farm will take care of me... they always have in the past. That's why I stay with them... I figure my loyality speaks volumes.

I'll tell you what it is, Jennifer Granholm has secretly used taxpayers money to plant a special electromagnet in all the roads that intermitantly turn on and only suck big dogs to the ground so we can keep the economy going because nobody's buying new ones. Watch and be very careful you michigan guys she's coming for you next. Seriously, hope you make out on the deal because sometimes that's the only way to justify something like this when it happens.
