K9 Confederate air cleaner

I had my 06 K9 air cleaner hydrodipped in the confederate flag pattern. Unfortunately for me, It does not go with my battle flag paint job.
Has the backung plate with it. Excellent. Cover never run. $50.00 plus the ride.
Paid 100.09 to have it dipped.

Being totally clueless about the Hydrodip stuff,,,,Is it like a film that sticks on? does the piece have to be etched or primed somehow? and could it be removed, with lacquer thinner or acetone or something? Seems like you could get more for it, than the cost of the dip, if it was back to stock.

I wasn't meaning because it was a confederate flag. Personally I think that flag has been misrepresented in the public eye but if you look at the flag pattern they kind of look like kkk across the pattern. Wasn't saying you were associated at all

They can do about anything you can imagine, along with powdercoat. Excellent quality and fast turn around. Dropped off 10 pieces on wednesday, and its ready now.

I was interested enough to look around on Youtube ( Yeah I know, the wife hate it when I do that) and one guy took the dip off with denatured alcohol and re dipped his part. Just a thought from someone who is clueless !!

Yes it can be redipped. Had all the other stuff redipped and going to pick it up at Aegis this morning. I feel like this is well worth what im asking.

You are absolutely right. We arent allowed to honor our ancestors or history without being ridiculed. Freedoms are getting taken away.
History is History. Let it be. Not arguing right or wrong. According to the Constitution, Civil War Veterans on both Sides are considered US Veterans. Ok, im done.

Is ignorance so pathological so as not to recognize what this flag represents to the victims and decedents of slavery and Jim Crow segregation. You can't white wash history. You can only be ashamed of it. I grew up in Louisiana and went to Robert E Lee High. Our mascot was a rebel and the racists drove around black neighborhoods with confederate flags mounted on their trucks with shotguns in the windows. History.

That flag was no different Than the colors of sport uniforms. That was the only way the soldiers could tell who was against who . The original flag resembled the Union flag to closely so they came up with the flag we see today . The sad part is that some people tuned it into a stupid racist symbol . And that is still happening today Only Americans died in the Civil war. (At least that was my understanding )
