I feel your pain Rick, but regardless it's still a bike to be envied.A lie is an act of theft. It steals people's faith and causes them to resent themselves. (James Lee Burke)
I bought the bike from Theo Gatsonis, owner of Cycle City of New York. Where Viking bought his.
Theo Gatsonis assured me that the wheels were chrome and the bike was as new. So I paid him for it and arranged transportations to Kansas. It showed up with polished aluminum wheels and no chin spoiler.
After several weeks of trying to get Theo to either agree to reimburse money, chrome or replace the wheels (or trade the entire bike), he just wouldn't communicate. Promised to 'look into' finding the missing chin spoiler (it was in all of the photos). No word on that either. He misrepresented the bike and has so far deferred on making a bad deal right. He did offer to resell to someone else.
This is not a 'misunderstanding'---in phone conversation I specifically asked if the wheels were chrome, and he sent an employee in to look...the guy came back and Theo told me "all the bikes have chrome wheels." It was also pictured on their website with a chin spoiler.
I couldn't refuse delivery, as I had already paid in full and also contracted the indie vendor..I would have had no bike and Theo had my $18 grand.
I will not sue Theo, as NY is a long way from KS and the amount is trivial. Theo's communications implied that since I got a good deal new Bagger, I should be happy. I reminded him that the instant that bike is titled, it's simply a remarkably low mileage 2010 used bike without warranty (as Viking found out).
So I'm back to polishing aluminum, and Viking found me a chin spoiler the exact color of my bike for $100. And where else will you find a new Bagger w/29 miles?
I will keep the bike..I like it, and will be happy riding it. In a few years I will no doubt get everything chromed that I want.
But I despise those who willingly damage my faith in my fellow man. Just pisses me off.
Happy New Year, Theo Gatsonis of New Jersey!
You know Ker, I'm with you but I have sold to big dogs that way. Then again, I trust me .Before I would ever spend that kind of money, you can bet that I'm going to set my eyes on it first![]()
Yeah no doubt, people do it all the time and there are some good people out there and some not so good. You know Ker, I'm with you but I have sold to big dogs that way. Then again, I trust me .

Exactly, Rick. Great perspective.I feel your pain Rick, but regardless it's still a bike to be envied.
I'm happy for you Rick. Life lessons are a hard thing to learn and very discouraging at times. A word of gold or a sealed handshake are a thing of the pass for some people and makes us very skeptical of otherwise good people, but we learn and move on. Once you get everything worked out I'm sure you'll have an awesome show peace and lots of fellowship.Exactly, Rick. Great perspective.
If you want to know what a man values, just pay attention to what he protects. With this guy, it was not principles of honesty and fairness. It was simply a short path to conserve cash by being evasive. Meh! Viking was happy with his purchase, and happily there was no problem with the sale.
Character is revealed by principle-governed behavior in times of ethical conflict.
In truth, that bike is magnificent. I like it more every day. To have that bike, a K9 and SG in the stable, a good wife, health, and friends like Blacktopper sure makes me aware of my blessings.
Here's one if someone is looking for one, looks like a heck of a deal

This one is in good working order according to the owner.Your probably thinking it's super fast aren't ya![]()
Road testedThis one is in good working order according to the owner.
The current owner bought it from Fury.I wonder if that's the one Roger and I looked at in St. Louis? It had a programmable ignition and dual runner intake.
That's a good deal, but of course, that color will always be slower than a silver/black one regardless of upgrades but it looks like a nice bike. Here's one if someone is looking for one, looks like a heck of a deal
