Bad Day... Lady backed over my chopper

Not a scratch on it other than this. My boys found out it was a kid in our neighborhood. The boys went to his house and asked him about it, he told them the truth straight away. The boys said he was scared he was going to get into trouble. So we waited an hour or so (for the kids mom to go in the house) then the boys and I went over and talked to him. He again admitted it. So I took off my belt and whipped his ass. Just kiddin I told him I wasn't mad at him and I asked him what happened. He said a car was coming and he got close to the trailer and that when he hit it with his handle bar. So I told him I was glad he was ok. I said I wasn't going to tell his parents. To witch he said thank you sir. He's just a little guy same age as my youngest son 9. So ya I know I just got on my high horse rant about people and their bratty kids. But I just figured with this little guy: He told the truth he was respectful and a nice young man and you could tell he was very nervous. I just didn't see the point in telling his parents. I did tell him to keep his damn bike away from my trailer though. I asked him if he wanted to know why I wasn't goin to tell his parents, he said yes. I told him that it was because although your were afraid of getting in trouble you told the truth and I respect the courage that it took you to do that. Plus I guess I'm kinda a softy when it comes to little kids. Seemed like a good boy to me.

Kids are very different nowadays, it is encouraging to know that some of them will still tell the truth when faced with adversity.. Good job Big Daddy :old2::old2:

That young man will never forget what you just helped instill in him, the value of admitting you've screwed up and facing up to it! That was worth much more than the ass whooping! :old2::cheers:

image.jpg Well I know this thread has been all over the place and that's what I like about the fourm, it feels like your sitting down talking with friends. The conversation may float one direction or the other, but you can tell that their is a caring spirit among the group here. So to all thanks for the comments, encouragement and a listening ear. The insurance values my mastiff at a little over $13,000.00 so they are going to pay the estimate submitted for $7,700.00 I'm very happy with that. I'll be posting pictures soon as I plan on doing a total strip down and rebuild this winter. As always any advice comments or suggestions are most welcome. Thanks again dear friends...

At this point I'm arguing with the city about these LED they installed at the park next to my house. They stuck these 5000k LED bulbs in the old halogen housings and the place is lit up like you wouldn't believe. God damn football stadium. My house is 100 yards away and can see it clear as day in the middle of the night

Oh!! And stay off my damn lawn!
