Ness side stand makes me nervous

This is my ness side stand on the bike... Makes me nervous... Seems too far forward, but it clicks into place and is solid with the weight of the bike. It's not splaying open at the edge like the stock one does. Makes me uncomfortable, though. Anyone using the ness have any thoughts... Yours like this? Seems like the only way it can sit.

I had the same problem I ended up removing the lower leg (unscrewing it) and cutting threaded rod.You can buy a tapered shim that goes behind the two bolts where the kickstand bolts up.

Thanks, Chop... Any idea where I can get that shim? Can't seem to find it...google search or Ness site.

Yeah I will look in the AM too be carfull to much wedge will make lean to far you may need longer lower bolt if you decide to go this route.

Biggest issue I had with the adjustable was the contact patch was smaller than the stock and it sunk into the asphalt on a warm summer day much easier (actually only time it sunk in was with the adjustable)

Looking forward to retirement
And that's why I stayed with my farward kick stand and went to my gator! Lots of ground coverage and looks good.

Haven't had any problems with my Ness kickstand but it does seem too far forward. Thought my K9 was still leaning too much so I tried to extend the kickstand some more but it doesn't change it that much. There seems to be a sweet spot in the adjustment and that is all there is.

Yeah... Now that I've had mine on for a few day I feel better about it... Pretty confident now that it will hold up. I like the fact that it clicks into place unlike the stock one. I also adjusted it out quite a bit over stock, and it no longer feels like I'm gonna dump the bike every time I get off it like the stock one made me feel.

I have one of them and mine was probably worse that yours, even with the shim. Itook mine off, took it apart and welded metal to where the leg locks against the stand, so it doesn't come around as far when out. I always thought it was going to fold in half.
