One other thing regarding the air cleaner, found the bracket, it's broken, that's why it's mounted like that. I noticed one of the ears on the carb was broken too. Couple more things to fix up on it. But I will get it taken care of. Thank you for pointing it out. Lots of knowledge on here when it comes to these bikes, glad to be a part of the community and learn.

I would check the carb housing to make sure there is no damage. Also if one of the ears is cracked you may lose the seal causing a seal leak. Not sure how bad it is without pics

The bracket should bolt into the motor and will have breather bolts. Hollow bolts with a hole in them that allows the motor to breath. If you have any ?'s feel free to ask

05+ dogs have the one way check valve. They don't breath through those holes like the 04 does. He would have a mess on his hands already if they did. No need for hollow/banjo bolts on that model

It's the very edge of the ear, no crack in the housing from what I can see, I will post up some pics later.

The bracket mounts into the motor, and has holes where the breather mounts so you can turn it in any direction you desire I am guessing. As far as the hollow bolts I am not sure on that part.

How is the bracket broke? I have aftermarket filters on both bikes and have the same setup on the pitbull. Those brackets are pretty durable
