Started with on K9 seat donated by 08K9 sometime back, thanks 08K9. Riveted an aftermarket backrest to the frame. Will have to be tweaked by Groundpounder when he gets it on the bike, Added some foam for comfort, covered in 100% leather. Check it out

Horrible pic but we'll see if we can't get a better one.

I really like that Scott! I'm eager to see what it looks like on the bike. That would be a nice thing to have on those long solo rides.

That back rest.... not me!

Don´t take me wrong... AWESOME WORK, OUTSTANDING!!!! But what I am saying is that I would not place it on a Chopper.... I think it´s more for a HD Road King or similar... a Bagger....

Just MHO.

It's removable Franco. Ride 600+ miles in a day and tell me you don't want one! There is a point where comfort exceeds aesthetics. Just a day trip and 200 ish miles I wouldn't run it, but if I'm trying to haul ass and do 500-600 miles a day then you bet I'll run that thing.

I am interested in how it connects and disconnects?

Thinking about it.... yes, and with the new handle-bars it really can be an asset for long trips! :old2:

SKOGDOG

One of the old ones.
I tour on a K9, and that seat definitely is the cat's ass!!--as Eric says, on the third or fourth 600 mile day of a tour, your back will thank you....
And when you want the low profile look, just remove the backrest....
What could be better?

Very cool! I assume it was fitted so prob a mute point for him but I imagine it might be better forward more, no? Seems like you might have to lean back just a tad to utilize it?

Maybe it's me but I feel like I sit a little more forward in the seat. I guess it depends on your height and arm length

The bracket attached to the pan had to go all the way to the back in order for you to not feel the bracket through the foam. Above the seat he can bend it to wherever he wants. I made a boot to cover the chrome bracket to hide hammer marks.

Oh that makes sense! I can see how that's an issue.

Does it clip in how do you remove it once it's attached or does it not do that?

We drilled a hole through the bottom of the pan that accesses a set screw which holds it in place.

Those were my thoughts too.... that´s why I did mention the handle-bar mod... so to achieve a more "relaxed" riding position.
