It's been a month or so since we took on this project and we are just about there. It took us some time to get in the specifications for the different sizes. We then had to create, design and fab up the forms, templates and jigs to build these racks so that they are all the same.

But we are just about there. Here is a picture of the first two. One for my 250 and one for Curtis' 300. We also built our template to accomadate the 280 and the 330. These two go to the chromer tomorrow so we can find out how much that will be to come up with a price.

You may notice that mine (the smaller one) doesn't have the angled clamps. I want my pack to sit flat on the rack and we like it so much that Curtis will do his this way also. But we will still do the angled ones for those that want it that way. I just didn't like that the bottom of my pack wasn't flat with the stock rack pushing it so far up in the middle.

Another last minute change was the two cross bars inside the rack, we were originally going to have them going across but thought this way they looked better. Its been a hard project for a new company and we hope all of you like them over the stock BD unit.

Hopefully by next week we will have pricing on these for all of you to consider. Thanks for all the suggestions we recieved from this group.

I think they do look better going that way.

I like the look of the stock BD rack, however my bag sagged this weekend and found the bag rubbing a bit on the fender :bang: Going to have to try and buff it out. With your racks you won't have to worry about rub. WSW racks seem to me more functional, which is good for the guys that put miles on their machines.

Kudos for getting these going.

Thanks guys. I had mine on my bike yesterday and didn't take pictures. It looked so kool on there. Might do it tomorrow before we go to chromer just to show you what it looks like on a bike.

I will tell you...... bending bar by hand is not easy to get all the bends right. We now know why companies charge so much for these simple parts!!!!!!

But ours will be less expensive than BD's depending on how much chrome is nowadays.

I like the idea of the extra support bars too. As previously stated, my BDM day bag and T-bag have both rubbed the fender. This will alleviate that and that is a good idea. Next up, how about some saddlebag attachments...

maybe you can throw one in with my starter, actually I just need a c ouple of the fasteners for the bar I ve already been fabbing a rack and haven't gotten around to the fasteners, any chance of getting two of them for the bigger size hole

For attaching saddlebags to my K-9 I bought an extra set of struts (just in case) and drilled the middle two holes all the way thru the strut and then threaded it (same as it was) and then used the ez-brackets to mount the saddle bags of my choice.

Perfect no, functional very.

I need to put some spacers in to move the brackets out further (rubs against turn signals) but looks ok when the bags are off (just the two little studs on each side show.

I do understand why BDM moved the plate -- its mostly visisble when I have the bags on but its not as clear as johnny law would like I'm sure.

I'd be more interested in a small tourpak to go on the lugguage rack (lockable)
I'm getting ready to do one myself this winter.
about 9" high, 12 deep (front to back) and probably about mid-turn signal to mid-turn signal wide)
Along with that I am going to do a longer sissy bar pad (will be part of how pak secures to bike.

Not sure what you mean by
"bigger size hole"

I looked at the picture again and I see that both racks have the same size holes for the bars, when I first looked at it I thought the angled rack had bigger sized holes as if the other sissy bar was of larger diameter bar. Old eyes strike again, sorry.

Got it
There will be a pair with your starter when we ship it back Express Mail. Were expecting your shaft in today so were hoping to have it in the mail this afternoon.

 lookin forward to it and let me know what I owe you for the clamps:up:
Seriously bro, after the run around with the starter, you owe us nothing. Its been a learning lesson and an embarassement. It is in no way our "Modus Operandi" and I will always take care of a customer if we make a mistake.

We thank you for your patience in all this.

Will these fit an '08 Mutt ?
What size rear tire do you have on your mutt?
We offer all four tire sizes
250
280
300
330
We have the 250, 300, and 330 sizes down but we have yet to get any feedback on the 280.
If anyone out there could help us with the 280 we would greatly appreciate it.
We need the center to center of the sissy bar.
