From an email I received this morning...

I regret to inform you that Stancil Morse (smorse24) was killed on his way home from Daytona. He was 10 miles from his home when a driver pulled into his lane with no lights on and hit him head on. He was killed instantly. The driver was arrested and charged with vehicular manslaughter possibly more upon toxicology results he also did not have a valid drivers license.

Very tragic news, my thoughts go out to his friends and family. I've spoken to Stancil a couple of times over the phone; we hadn't yet made the time to get together to meet/ride.

Very tragic and sad news. May he Rest in Peace and my utmost condolences to his family and all those that loved him.

One of my greatest fear is to have an accident like his, at the mercy of God in such senseless occasions like that.

We we're going to meet up at GKC's house this past april for the blue ridge bike fest but weather wouldn't permit it.
