Just picked up the dog from the shop today. Had it dyno tuned and pretty happy with the results. ended up with .0295 int. and a .080 main.

Hard to believe. You must have some major modifications. And with a 29.5 jet?

I posted a while back my mods.Forgot to link it. I did the zero deck (.049 removed), had heads done by John Sachs (ported with 2.02 int. and 1.615 ex) ,.600 S&S cam,XXX G carb, Thunderheart ignition, RB Racing 2-1 pipe.

Sweet... :whoop:
Can't beat that mild .600" cam for all around performance. It's easy on the motor also. Good job. :2thumbs:

Nice numbers. Did you notice a big difference when you changed your ignition?
I've got one sitting here but haven't had time to install it. I had john do my heads and his carb and 600 cam.
I'm guessing i'm loosing a lot with my exhaust because I have to run a 36 INT to get my bike to run right but I do get 48mpg running 80

I installed the ignition while I was doing the all of the motor work so going from stock everything to modified, there was a huge difference.
As far as the jets, I took it in with a 33 int.and an 76 main, and he said that the int. was too big and A/F ratio was about 10.8 . After tuning it was about 13.8 with a 29.5 int. ,80 main and 60 air bleed.
All I know is that it pulls real hard.:D

i saw the same with ported heads and XXX carb. smaller jets for correct A/F.

that RB pipe doesnt hurt your numbers.

if you want another boost keep your eye out for a PSI carb. :D

Wow, great numbers! , can you imagine if you had dynoed this on a dynoject dyno you would be showing 5 to 8% higher on torque and horsepower. Congrats must be a lot of fun to ride.

gotta ask what did it cost to have the deck zero'd and the heads done. I have the xxx carb and 585 cam with the thunderheart ignition on my pitbull already but wanted to get some motor work here real soon. Just wanting a idea what everyone else is getting for shop time cuz the local shop here in ohio suggested instead on doing all the mill work just put 10:1 compression pistons in. Is that a good idea or are the results the same or should i tell him to pound sand? thx for all the help
