check often tire pressure
Checking the pressue is very important. I check mine every time I ride if the bike sits for more than a week or two. It only takes a second. It can be tough to see a low tire with the way the rear tire sits. It can get way down before you notice it.

FYI, just purchased an Avon cobra from Dennis Kirk for $307.99 total (includes some $5.00 tire fee). Anyway, I was only planning on getting 5,000 miles from the rear 330. I am filling out my $25 rebate form from Avon right now. I can't complain. I can't wait to replace those Corvette tires on Stephanie's car!

Avon...no wonder. Lots of wear and other issues with the Venom replacement called COBRA. Just do a search here and see for yourself. Went with Metzeler this time, seems to be getting better wear mileage. Some have said that the Metzeler is a touch wider but it fit fine on a "07" Bulldog 300mm.

Hey, you guys buying tires (rear) and paying a bunch of $$$ need to read Big Dog biker more carefully. I think less than a month ago, I posted the place to buy rear Avon 300 at about $228 and that included shipping.

Absolutely you need to google the tire you want and look at the results. I get pissed off at paying a suckass former Big Dog Dealership a $110 to put a new tire on. (read that as Iron Lightning).
