It seems like a simple database could be maintained which lists Name, City/State (not address), contact info and some basic info of how you could help (truck/trailer/garage - whatever) could be maintained and only accessible via log in to like volunteered members. In other words, if you need help and have volunteered your own information to likewise provide help; you get access to this database of members information.
Maybe that's a web interface (restricted area), maybe that's a monthly update emailed to 'subscribed' members?
I too have been signed up with BAM for years, have an emergency identification card from them. I provided them my contact info, I've never used them, nor have I ever received a call for assistance. I wouldn't hesitate to go help someone if I could lend a hand.

The traveler should be able to print off the list or select relevant members info prior to their trip; let's face it, not everyone carries an Internet capable mobile device right, unless your Ray or BBC....:D

I've got tools, garage, truck(s), trailer and shelter to provide if/when I can help said members.

Add: It'd be really slick if we could get a programmer to develop a Windows Mobile/iPhone Application for us that had said database (we could purchase app/plugin)....that'd be the shit right there, but I'm not that guy - sorry.

From the sounds of it this may shape up to be really handy tool for everyone in the near future.
I've got truck, trailer, tools, two large couches, air matress, ice cold beer, straight tequila, Hot shower, and a lady that cooks awesome southern food, plenty of ammo, and a good attitude! LOL

You can count me in from central california I have tools garge and place to crash if needed access to a trailer and am about 50 mi. from BDM dealer. I also like the idea of a national BDB Club that way you could have state captians in different parts of each state responsible for their area of there state.

Hmmm I'm in but reluctant to share personal info on open forum ...Trailers..tools ..and willingness to help out a fellow biker ..any brand yes, member of BAM for a while now ! "never been called " I'm not real sure I would open my home at three AM to someone who just happens to own a BD If I knew ya yea but really if you think about it do you really know some of the members on hear ??? Just what they have posted in the past ..if we do this ,lets do it right and take some time to think it out . I know of many bikers who will NEVER cross my threshold . I would help them out on the side of the road ..and help them on there way but would not trust them as far as I could throw them.. Call me paranoid but I sleep with a loaded 45 right by my bed . And I shot Expert in the suck. You have to earn my trust.

Running out with a trailer and some tools, parts and maybe a trailer ride to a shop if needed I think is what most on here are talking about. As far as taking them home that's everyones individual option. I bet after 3 hours in the sun and a day like Ray had you'd be glad if someone trailered you in and put you in a motel. I for one am going to try and hit a few of these bigger bike rallies around the home state and try and meet some of you in person. I'm sure there's quite a few of y'all I'd have to the house.
