We Will Stand Behind Our Bikes

So,

I went to a local shop which I found by accident when I went to another shop to change my tires on my new Buell. Anyways I saw the bike of my dreams which was my Big Dog Chopper. It was on consignment from some moron names Wayne. I asked to test ride it but they said not until I buy it but not to worry the bike has a perfect service record and they said they will stand behind the bike. I road it home and noticed that when i use the front breaks that it hopes up and down big time, everyone told me that was normal. Well after I got my air cleaners and had to have them rejet it Stroker said that it wasn't normal and after looking at it found out it was the rotor. So here is my issue, I was told they would stand behind the bike, so far I have had a few issues and each time I have had to pay for all the work done. I guess saying we stand behind it means they will charge me to fix everything wrong with it is what they meant. What do I do, it had a bad battery which mealted last week, it has lost the spark plug wires a few times and the breaks were bad from day one. What do I do? Please help, I haven't said a word to anyone at Triple Threat Choppers because they are the nicest people but just because I just got a couple bucks doesn't mean I need to be a fool and now I am getting upset..... I ordered parts the day I got the bike 4 weeks ago and still nothing has came in and my HID came in over 3 weeks later and were wrong.... I am now at the point were it is a problem and I am not the nicest guy in the world when backed into a corner.... I keep paying and paying and nothing is done right. What do I do or say, anyone know?

Hell of a post. You should have asked here before spending all that money out of your 25 mil!!

As for the front rotor, have you put a straight edge on it to see if it's warped. If so pull it and take it down to you local machine shop and have them turn it for you. How are the break pads. If bad then see our site sponsor McGroom for a new set of Z-pads.
What HID kit did you buy. Did you get it from our site sponsor Low Down Chop? His is made for our bikes and is an easy swap.
If you are loosing the spark plugs then that is an easy fix, just pinch down the copper fittings and fill them with die-electric grease for a secure fit. I've put over 100,000 miles on two BD bikes and never lost a spark plug wire!

So what is it your waiting for on your bike? :D While you are at it check the condition of your front tire. Maybe its just worn and causing the hopping. Easy to change on yourself. Low Down Chop can get you some "dyna beads" to help with the balancing. His HID is a direct fit and you can fix the spark plug wires yourself.

You might let us in on what year your bike is or update your profile to state it.

We'll get you back on the road if you ask.

:cheers::cheers:

Since you just got 25 million bucks all you have to do is buy the place and fire everyone :roll:

I agree with Ray on all points. We will not steer you wrong here. By the way what year is your Chopper?

Getting on here and "Flaunting your Wealth" and crying the blues about even some small shit (Losing sparkplug wires???) maybe is not the smartest thing to do. Like some have said, You could have just bought a new one just like this one (you fell in love with) from a really good BDM dealer and they would have taken care of any problems you might have had.

I rather doubt that you are going to get a lot of sympathy here with a post like this.

Just my measly 2 cents (NOT $25 million),

I find that 'stand behind their bikes' thing interesting because it wasn't their bike, it was just a consignment bike. They were just a 3rd party selling the bike and usually documentation is signed that says that they aren't liable. They can't be faulted for selling an 'as is' bike that someone possibly rode too hard, etc.

If I had 25 mil; I think I would have taken my private jet to BDM, and special order two or three NEW bikes.....I feel for you man, but, I just can't reach you...

Wow, with a fresh 25 mill if your this bad at working with people and negotiating and need help from a little ol forum like this then I hope you have a good accountant to handle your money or your gonna be broke quick. Now that would be a tragedy not these minor little issues.

With 25 million are you sure you don't wanna just go buy a new one?

I guess my smart ass comments aren't helping. Raywood has already covered your solution anyway.

This is what I would do if I had 25mil.........drop the bike off where I purchased it and tell them to fix it. Next go and buy another one. Problem solved. I will be sending you a bill for consulting fees :D

What he did not tell us is how he got the 25 mil. I heard it was from an exiled dictator in Africa whose wife and defense minister skimmed it off of a misel site upgrade project and buried it in an old storage container. They asked for volunteers by email to help them bring the cash into the US. He was the only person that replied.
