New Dakota for BDM?

Just got my March 2010 issue of HOT BIKE mag and saw this ad for Dakota Digital.

Note the bottom middle NEW BD-140 (direct plug fit) for Dogs. Did everyone know about this?

I've looked at them and may install one in the future. My only problem with these Dakota gauges, is you have to enter your mileage yourself, and someone could just NOT enter any mileage and more or less "start over". I can see some future odometer fraud.

Someone "could" enter incorrect mileage. However, someone "could" just disconnect a speedometer to begin with. I had DD to set my odometer at the factory, and I have the old take off (that could be hooked back up as proof) and recorded the change date/reading at time of change that coincides with the stock speedometer (receipts, etc).

jure just right, if someone wants to cheat, he will cheat using whatever possible way.

I have a black cherry Ridgeback and bought the red one, it's bright as hell and looks great on the bike. This speedo also has a night sensor so that the light dims at night time as well.
