Well I've been a newb for only like 7 months, but feel I know it all now, and I'd like to thank all, here are some changes I made to my skoot.....2 into 1....

K&N air filter, added an inch, with a desperado filter housing.....Also replaced all lines with braided lines...

added a nice insert....

Oil pressure gauge.

And a great product. the infamous Cruise-mate... Works super.

Not pictured is dina beads... also a great improvement, no more wheel weights.
And it wouldn't have happened with out this site. Thanks to all. Nice lift too...

Well Al, now that you mention it, after we get back from Sturgis, I'd like to do a Karata open primary, some head work, Zero deck, cam, XXX carb..... the list keeps growing.:whoop:

And I really like the Stainless Creations Hellstroms, so we'll see...

Exactly... looks sweet!

Deperato Cover with an insert.... sounds familiar
Autometer oil press gauge... always a great choice.
Seatmaker seat I'm guessing...

How come you didn't run the rear breather to the floor and plug the backing plate? I got one already plugged if you want it...

WOW!!!!Looks GREAT!!!! :2thumbs: :2thumbs:
Looks like you have enough oil to power a nation - :D :D

Like Dave's idea - get a spike to cover the coil cover. Just curious is this an '06 or '07 chassis. Reason I'm asking I wanted to get the magnetic spike to cover the coil mount of my '07 K9. But is quite different, in that my K9 has a "NUT" in place of the flat surface in your picture...makes me wonder what happened here? Ended up getting a SPIKE NUT which I must say is "way cool" - but either way get a spike.

AGAIN _ LOOKING GREAT _ CONGRATULATIONS

Yeah, I borrowed A LOT of your ideas, and others for that matter. I guess I never thought of doing the plug and running it to the floor....
Yes, seatmaker seat! That is a great addition! What do you have that is plugged?

  Yeah, I have a small fleet I service. So when I get it I get it so I don't have to go back for a while.

That is an 07 chassis, I will order that spike from Jake the next time I order from him. That is a good idea! (Thanks Dave! ) Didn't never notice that!:loony:

Simply run that line from the rear breather to the floor. Keep the chk vlv orientation proper...
Then plug the hole in the back of the backing plate with a simple allen plug. I could send ya my old spare if you wanted...

Chaingunner, I am running the same High Flow kit from S&S with the Desperado cover. I looked on K&N's wbsite and asked several parts guys in my area about a K&N filter for it. They all told me that K&N doesn't make one. It should be the same as the regular one for S&S carbs just an inch taller. From your pics it looks like you found it. DO YOU HAPPEN TO HAVE THE PART # FOR IT.

Made my own standoffs and bought the KN filter E3210 (5 7/8 OD, 4 1/2 ID) then went with the KN KNEE3340 which is 6 1/4 OD, 5 1/4 ID. Uncle owns the local parts store so he just measured the stock OD and ID and went with what was close. I am happy with it, except now I will have to do some jet work, it runs lean now. And I can tell the change :2thumbs:

Chaingunner, You replaced all the lines with braided lines, Where did you get them from? I am looking for the ones like you have on the lines you show at the top between the heads behind the carb.
