If you like it cool. Personally i rather the plain black seat on your bike because you have a great paint job. If you had a solid color bike the seat may work.
I think the seat does not compliment your paint job. Please Don't be pissed at me, but i loved your bike just as it was.

I prefer to see solid color seats (black) on fancy paint jobs.

In the end, you have to like what you see every time you throw a leg over your bike and head out on the road.

Us Marines have a saying, "If you think you need a haircut, then you probably do."

In your case, If you think you've gone to far, then you probably have...

It will be okay. Flip the plate, ditch the reflectors and add curb feelers with the mentioned LED's:D

Ok if you're going to go this far then just go all out and get matching boots, helmets and his and her jackets with the same flames. Then throw in the LEDs like Marv mentioned. Then you can honestly say you've gone to far but you will for sure get all the attention.........good or bad!

Mainly if you like it who cares what others think.

You have just helped me make up my mind on my bike seat. Thanks!

I think it is a little too much, and agree with the majority, sorry. It's not super bad.

My honest opinion is you took away from the focus bike which was the paint job on the tank and fender. Personally I might have gone with a black gator seat & pad from seatmaker.... IMHO

I just posted this over in the LED thread, thought it would fit in here too...

I guess if LED's are gay then I say:

Spiked air cleaners are gay...
Ostrich seats are gay...
those dildo looking foot pegs are gay...
helmets are gay...
oil coolers look gay..
2 up seats are gay...
cyclopse headlights are gay...
spikes are gay...
downtube stickers are gay...
passenger pegs are gay...
blue headlight bulbs are gay...
green bikes are gay...
so are yellow ones...
and white ones...
and orange ones :D ...
windshields are gay, gay, gay...
saddlebags are gay...
honda's are gay(but everyone nows that)...
rubber grips are gay...
reflectors are gay..
toolbags are gay...
sissybars are gay...

WTF... Anything I missed that might offend anyone??????????

I say put whatever the F**K you want on your bike, because no matter what you put on it, what color it is, or what you took off of it...

SOMEONE WON'T LIKE ABOUT IT!!!

So, pimp it, strip it, decorate it, F**K it and ride it!!!!!!
Who cares what anyone else thinks!!!

think it looks OK but it may be a little too much. I think you're asking the question because you already know the answer.

DAMM BDMridgeback, I like your way of thinking!:D You hit the nail on the head!
For everyone else.......I'm damm sure not letting my oldlady see this, she was the one that told me it was over the edge and took away from the paint job! I'm not about to admit she was right even though I figured she was.
I thank everyone for the opinions. It was really what I wanted either way and a great help. Now I just have to figure out what I'm going to do.
Anyone need a good looking Yellow flamed seat for a discount price.:D
OH, and by the way.....My helmets do match the paint job perfectly. OH SHIT......maybe I'm GAY!

I'm with ya Jake... fuck it.

On the seat. It obvoiusly compliments and matches the paint. Does it distract from the paint? Maybe, but isn't it suppose to?

If you are worried about it... just take the bike that way out to a few shows or bike nights. See what people looking at the bike in person say either to you or to themselves.

Also, something to consider.... do you always run the p pad? If that wasn't there would it change the look?

First off, thank you bdmridgeback for your post...
I have seen LED lights referred to on this site, and the old one as :

silly
gay
fairy lights
circus lights

as well as a variety of other derogatory terms by people who feel the need to influence others as to what is or is not cool.

Whatever!

Personally, I feel that a persons bike should suit HIM, and not anyone else, whether it be about down-tube stickers or a flipped plate or LED's, or seats...etc. If you cannot have the personal freedom to express yourself through your own bike, then what do you really have?

onaprowl...there is only one question you need to answer: DO YOU LIKE YOUR SEAT? Your opinion is the only one that matters.

Since you asked, my answer is...if you like it, I like it!

PERIOD!

You have an awesome bike...ride the hell out of it and be proud brother!!!
