Hi I have a 2003 BDC and was wondering if anybody's ever fabricated a custom drivers backrest for their chopper?
I would like to have one on mine but have never seen any manufacture offer one.

Cant remeber if its @blacktopper or @SKOGDOG that has one on their K9. They may chime in.

Spike Dog: You’ll need to contact two very skilled guys, both members here on the Forum., and live near each other.
The fella who knows how to ‘blacksmith’ the backrest (a custom ebay backrest has to be bent to fit the seat pan) was Tom ‘Groundpounder’. He is a Forum member here. Then the seat was rebuilt with memory foam and gel, and covered with leather By none other than Seatmaker, a well-known talent to we old-guard types here on the Forum. I’d recommend you p.m. Tom to get started. Both are great guys to work with—Tom is one of the best guys you’ll ever meet. He’s a damn fine wrench too (electronics and fuel injection).
Below is the best pic I could find on short notice. I love the seat and have toured several thousand miles on it in the last few years.

Backrest looks good, That’s about how I’d like to do mine.
