Those marketing videos bother me too. What’s the point of showing the part can be towed behind truck or shot with the shotgun?
Would someone pull my bike around behind a truck or shoot it with a gun, I wouldn’t give a shit if my EHC survives. Gimme a video where you push a button and something happens, or better yet, spray water on it and then bush a button...

Its probably buried but if you look near the silver module there is a little box about 1x4 inches if it is black, it is the first generation of the rip, if it is grey then it is the second version. This version has full functionality. I wonder if the guys at BD even came up with an "UPGRADE" to convert the version so all the controls work. Its not that hard to do just some time and supplies.

Yes the small rectangular module is wrapped in BLACK and it's definitely a Gen 1 as the BDM tech told me. When I take the bike to get it state inspected I have to be there to operate the controls, since the mechanic isn't going to know the bull$hit incantations and secret hand motions one has to go through to get the bike to start up & toggle between Low/Hi beams!

Axels device is fantastic - so simple to plug in and play - installed on a 12 year old Bulldog. - I highly recommend it
