starter issues

06 k9 wont start. Starter grinds. Went thru bike and checked green signal wire to starter, has 9 volts at rest, normal? Battery ok. Tried jump pack and got louder grind noise. Would not turn over. Heard alot of problems with these starters and oil getting in, true? What do you guys think?

yes, if too much oil in the primary, tends to bypass the seal and go into the starter. could be a broken shaft.

Can it be your starter clutch ,I had the same isseu with my Husky before and it was the stater clutch .:up:
