I originally found out about Chopper Shox through this forum. I just decided to go back to my original seat. Having the seat, pillion pad and back rest re-covered as we speak. Seat, tool roll, shocks and hardware for $165. I paid $400 for these items just a few months back.

What is the difference with the Chopper Shox vs. the stock shocks on the Pitbull? I have the same model you have.

Chopper Shox are a little shorter aprox. 4" tall eye to eye. I like the stainless look and they are suppose to be a better quality spring. Honestly, I was pleased with the stock springs after I put the 180 lb ones on. These springs due to the height will not work well with our stock seat. It will touch the fender, however they work perfect with the La Rosa, since it is slightly smaller and thinner. The La Rosa seat is well made for the money. The mounts for the springs are 7" center to center. I had additional holes placed at 6 1/8" to line up perfectly to the plate.
I really liked the La Rosa and the Chopper Shox. I just found it easier to have my original seat and pillion pad re-covered vs. having my pillion pad match the La Rosa.
