BDM Oil Cooler install...

Since I'm new to BDs, just want to make sure I do things correctly the FIRST time around....not like when I was younger and had to break things three times to fix it right....:D

Give me a German Engineered Car and I'm great....but, there's hardly any vibration.....

Got an oil cooler kit from Derek and Donna with instructions since I'll be riding to AZ and SD this Summer.....my question being, on the threaded fittings/connectors (oil lines and oil cooler), what kind of thread sealant to use, or to use any?

Understandable loctite on the tube mounts, but on the oil lines, what kind of sealant do you guys use?

Also, on the oil cooler cap and the caps for the stash tube, what should I use to I don't lose the covers.....and still be able to get at least the TOP cover on the stash tube off?

First American Bike, so apologize if I ask a silly question...

Thanks guys.....

Check THIS out first.

I will try to find the thread for you on how-to install them, do a search in the Forum.... but its not difficult, just follow your nose.

Curtis (@KaptinAmerika ) made a 180 degree fitting for mine that works awesome too in case anyone interested. :old2:

Well, IF you are going to be on this site you had better never screw up! None of us have because we are eperts so use Teflon tape, good bolts/hoses and do it right.... Make us proud!
