2004 Mastiff speedo troubles

I recently had my local dealer install the new updated ECH. Now when I start the bike the speedo always goes through it's cycle, but when I start the bike it sometimes will not register speed or miles. Usually I can shut the bike off and restart it and it will start working again. Sometimes it takes several restarts though.

Mine used to do that but once the BDM tech in Sturgis reflashed my ehc, that went away. I'm wondering if you have the most up to date program.

Check the connector at the transmission. Mine was dirty and did not make a solid connection. It caused all sorts of weird things with my speedo. Cleaned n greased it, volia no more issues. Just my two cents.
