04 BD chopper

Happy Palm Sunday,

I am getting ready to but fork seals on BD Chopper, what weight oil do most use? I am a 230 lb guy, and the front end rides and functions well. Also how much oil goes in the forks? Thanks in advance, ride safe be safe in our troubled world.

30WT is the recommended - 10 oz in each leg

I read 30 wt 10.5 oz but you can double check that

just a word from experience, 20wt. seems to make the front a little less responsive, so I agree with 30wt.

I seriously doubt that extra half ounce per tube is going to hurt anything
