Just a though.Plastic cable to bottom of seat then attach to frame. At least this would slow them down on these high dollar seats or piss them off. 05chop:cheers:

Corbin makes a seat for the 05 Chopper with a lock on it! Or they did last years when I looked mine up.

Maybe it's time to go back to the old hinge style seat like I had on my HD! :D

Thought about the cable ... even looked into modifying existing laptop locking systems for the seat. I was thinking of making it stable enough to flip up to check the oil, battery and clean it without having to disconnect the cable or have to find a place to rest the seat without messing with the paint.

I am thinking of making a simple anchor. A cable from the front tongue mount to the frame…..:D
Actually, all you have to do is go to a high end bicycle shop - they have thin steel cable that's rubber coated and looped on each end. They use them on bikes with Quick Release seats from being stolen.

One end of the loop can be secured with a screw into the seat pan and the other end looped around the frame, seat tongue, etc. or locked with a small pad lock.

Cable is about 18" long - so you could remove the seat and flip it on the rear fender or just let it hang on the side by the cable.

I'll make one as soon as I get my new seat and post some pix. Not a fail safe, but prevents a fast hit and run.....

i was gonna suggest tethering the seat with a small cable.
i think that would really be the way to go and adaptable to any seat

Well... It's funny that you ask!

Corbin Doesn't make a seat for the 2005 Ridgeback. They make this seat for the 2004 Ridgeback with the 250 tire. With a little modification it fits perfect and the fit is actually better looking than on a 2004 bike. The seat sells for $650 from Corbin. I bought this one brand new, never used, and in the original box off Ebay for $150 shipped.

You can call Arlen Ness Big Dog Dealership and they do them.
Here is the deal, Ness owns the molds for the Corbin seats for a 2005 Ridgeback. So you can get this seat for an 05 but you have to buy it from Arlen Ness because Corbin doesn't have the rights to sell them. I don't know how much but I am sure it is at least $650 or more.

Here is the Actual Arlen Ness seat on a 2005 Ridgeback:
