Short Story,

September 23rd, 2010 my wife and I were cruising down a 2 lane highway at 55mph. She was carrying a hoodie across her lap and all of a sudden she yells "My Jacket". Just as she yells the rear tire of the bike locks up and we gone into a slide(sideways down the road). Her jacket had gotten sucked up under the rear fender locking up the tire. 102' later the rear tire caught and slammed us forward on to the asphalt. Luckily we walked away with nothing but some road rash and chipped teeth.

My wife had some rash on her forearm and the chipped theeth were she hit the back of my melon head. You can tell who road who on the asphalt

Glad your both going to be alright. I'm sure the rash was pretty sore for sometime. The repairs on the bike look great. Be safe.

OOOuuuccchhhhh !
Thanks for sharing the story with us. Who would have thought-Carring a jacket might have costed you your life-someone out there is definately watching over you both. Able to take the dog out another day.
On a lighter side I hope you too are all healed up,and the bike looks great. awsome job on the paint . I like the racing theme.
Is the blonde on the bottom of your post your ol lady- she looks great chipped teeth and all ! :)

Good to hear you are both ok. At least the wife can't complain about all the time spent in tha garage.
Looking good.
I like the paint too.

Never thought about a jacket getting hung up like that. I'll remember that one. The pics with the road rash will help with a visual to remember. Glad your both ok and bike looks like nothing happened at all. Looks great :2thumbs:
