Looking for a sissy bar and stancions for my 2009 Ridgeback with 330 rear tire. Anybody on here got a good use one That you would be willing to part with ? It sucks having to Wear that heavy ass backpack on those 2 or 3 day trips. At least with the short to mid length sissy bar I’d have something I could put a pack on and take stuff with me. Seen a couple on eBay in rough shape / peeling chrome and rust without the stancions mounting brackets and they’re asking about $200 for it. By the time I paid shipping and then send it out to have it re-chromed I’d have $350+ in it and still wouldn’t have the stancions to mount it .

I love the looks of that 330 tired but damn it makes it difficult to get parts for sometime. :nopity:

I seen that one it still doesn’t have stancions either. Thanks for the heads up though I appreciate it. I talked to Donna before I Started this post and she also has the 12” and the stancions To go with as well But she can’t break up the set and sell me just the stancions which I fully understand. I just don’t want to spend the $500 for brand new when I really only need the stancions. Which don’t get me wrong that is a good price For a brand new bar and stancions. I wish someone around here in Iowa had a set of stancions that I could use as patterns and I would just machine out my own. I have a couple of blocks of stainless steel and aluminum out in the shop about 3 1/2“ x 3 1/2“ x 8“ and I also have 6 or 7 pieces of stainless Round stock each one around 8 foot long in various sizes from 1/2” to 3/4” and I know I can definitely make the sissy bar as well once I have the stancions made. ( I love the look of Ginz’s Devil tail :old2: So that would be the one I would duplicate the look of . So in all reality guys all I really need is a close-up look at the Stancions Or an old pair that I could duplicate out of stainless or just use if they were in good shape. ((( I just thought ))) With my working 12 hour shifts and the wife’s huge ass honey dolist for me  I would just pick up a decent used bar and stancions and go with it till I had time to build my own.

((( I just thought ))) - we’ll there’s the whole problem guys I was thinking :crazybitch:

THANKS for all the input though guys it is greatly appreciated. I hope this day is good to each and everyone of you.

Well ginz does sell just the stancions for like $120, then you could make your own sissy bar as you said!

yeah I seen Ginz Had a universal mounting kit for around $120 Mike But that would require drilling holes in my rear fender and flat sides on the fender which I don’t have And even if it did have flat sides I’m not all into drilling holes in my fender. Not only that mounting it to the fender is not going to be near as strong as mounting it directly to the struts and being a Hardtail the sissy bar with a bag Full of stuff hooked to it is going to have a lot of stress going down the road. The fender struts On the 2009 Ridgeback Had two holes on the bottom side of the struts to mount the stancions on unlike most other BD’s were you change the rear struts to the ones that had the Sissy bar mounting holes in them. Which in reality it was a great idea. Then you only had to buy the stancions which would be cheaper than buying the struts Not to mention the ease of installation.
