Recommendations from the Road

Anyone that has seen my thread (s) knows that the 2007 K9 that I purchased would not start once it got delivered from Texas to Washington State. It's been a long journey but the bike is finally in the hands of a reputable shop called Rottweiler in Bremerton Washington and there is light at the end of this tunnel. As it turned out, the EHC needs to be replaced which was my bet pretty much all along since there simply wasn't another logical explanation after all of my troubleshooting. I want to take this opportunity to say Thank You to Curtis from Wild Steed Works for being patient and taking the time to answer my dumb questions about EHC's and electrical stuff! His knowledge about BD bikes is as good as it gets and better yet he is willing to share that knowledge and recommendations with his customers. His prices are competitive but his advice is what sets his company apart from so many others. It really doesn't get better than that. Curtis also recommended Rottweiler in Bremerton to me as well. They are about to start work on the bike as soon as the parts show up later this week but I got a very good vibe from this shop. I believe they can do it all and judging from the bikes that they have built and are on display in their great showroom they do it well. Very professional. Big Thanks to my service advisor Kaiela that has worked with me every step of the way and answered all my questions. This lady knows her motorcycles and that really helps with the communication between the customer and the shop. Also a quick Thank You to fellow long-time Chopper/K9 Rider Big Jim for helping me in more ways than I can list here. If all goes well the bike should be up and running and in great shape very soon. Now all I need is some decent weather and some trouble-free miles under my belt! It's been an epic journey! On a sad note to report to the community: Curtis did lose a bother recently in an accidental fire. He and his family have my most sincere condolences. Very Sad.
