Couldn’t take the oxidation on the jugs and heads every time I ride.:job: One trip up the coast and she has to be polished again and again. I would rather be riding! I used 2000deg ceramic header paint, hope it holds up for a while.

A shop around me does powder coating. They do jugs and heads and I have never heard of it melting. Powder coating should stay on for the life of the back if done properly.

looks good BB. You take it all apart or just masked everything off?
I had to pull my push rod tubes again so while i was doing that I pulled the carb, pipes and coil then masked it all off.

I like the idea due to no polishing. Will the paint hold extra heat in the engine?

Well we were told in shop that black pulls the heat out of the motor (better heat transfer), all my 2 strokes were flat black.
