Took my dog to the shop they stating that it's not getting any fire to the spark plugs and stating I need a new ehc is this possible or could this be the ignition.

There's alot more to look at first before condemning the EHC. But since the "shop" has it, your kind of at there mercy.

Awg is right....could be numerous things like a short on the cam sensor or the cam sensor itself is bad....could be real simple...what year is it and model

It's a 04 bulldog with 107 S&S motor I replaced my ehc in 2017 with the one from Alex
U mean axle?....if so thats a good system...like Awg Mr wright and myself said its probably a short near the cam sensor or the cam sensor itself... if its a cam sensor they r only like 60 bucks on ebay....late 70 and early 80s cam sensor will fit it just have to wire it up....3 wires....red black and green....simple simple job if thats the case and i hope it is....keep us posted we all try to help you if we can

Chances are it's not the ehc if you have axles and you just replaced it.

If the shop says otherwise I'd load your bike up and take it elsewhere or bring it home and if your willing to work and can run a volt meter plenty of us can help. They aren't willing to even try to narrow it down.

Good luck!

They make a spa1 spa2 spa3....i dont know what the differnece is in these they look the same...figuring they r upgraded version is the reason for the different number....but have them to do the testing first.....im with Th3infamous i dont think ur axle kit is giving u trouble unless there is a short in something....test the bike we will see what is wrong...20190719_065638.jpg

I would get my bike away from the shop right now !
You have axels kit and they immediately go directly to that and say it’s bad means they have not troubleshot shit, and could end up replacing all kinds of shit that isn’t bad.

I agree you ehc is probably good.
I have a 2004 and had to replace the ignition module right hand side, lower round cover.

Ok thanks
The ignition modules for the 02 through 04, duel fire are very hard to find now. Two things you can do. You can get with Thunderheart and get a single fire set up for an Indian. It will come as a kit, coil and everything. Or you can go with the Ultima unit, that will fit in your nose cone. Both will work just fine.
