So what makes you think you're ehc is fried?
The black spot between A and B is an arc burn....
Ouch! That just sucks.
I thought awhile back someone on here was gonna redo the EHC that would be more dependable. Anyone here of this?
Yes it does...it left me and my girl stranded in a thunder storm... now I'm hoping the EHC was my only problem.... I hope to have the RIP kit finished tomorrow or the next day....
So, how this story ended up?
and... I have a question which I am still unsure about it... had different answers in the past...
The stock TH Ignition Module... at how many degrees advance BDM did lock it?
Does someone knows it for sure?
Franco... As you know, I installed the RIP Kit... After a few test runs, I sat the TH to setting 3.. It seamed to have a little more trouble staring up... Performance wise, I couldn't really tell much difference.. I have it set back to the F setting, due to it seems to start easier for me.... So, I'll run it there and see how things turn out..
Hey there. I'm a new dog rider. I picked up an 07 k9 and was riding it the other day....i ride pretty hard and fast... and was getting on it then suddenly it crapped out at high high rpms...I'm sure i hit the rev limmiter. The problem is that now it rides fine upto about 3,000 rpms and craps. If i twist the throttle too aggressively or hit 3k if feels like the timing is retarding. runs great up to that point. Did I blow something? is there a reset switch or do i need to get a new unit. Thanks.
Rev limiter is at 6000 or 6500 RPM you actually hit that? Your teeth still there? Not sure what the point is of running it up that high unless you got monies for rebuilds.
I think the most I have hit was 5k.

I hit the rev limiter before mine crapped out, I was in second gear and did not shift quick enough and with the 585 cam it revs fast! Before I knew it I hit the rev limiter at 6250 or so and it shut it down, kinda weird that mine screwed up after that also.
Oh, and Ray, you might want to do an intro before the intro police nail you! Lol! You'll get a better response to your question also.

Ok...so...The k9 has two speeds "off" and "Bat out of hell!" I prefer the later. I'm thinking of disconnecting the Battery and completely dischargeing the system. Maybe it will reset to the 6200 rev. Thought?
