    Hi all,
I'm trying to remove the 250 rear wheel from my 2005 BD Chopper and am stumped. I've removed the plates, bolts and belt tensioners along with the brake caliper and am now stuck. I've searched the posts on here and the internet but unfortunately any links which have been posted can no longer be found (too old perhaps?) I have a 2005 service/workshop manual which might as well go in the bin for all the information in doesn't contain.
Any help would be most appreciated especially an exploded diagram along with ideas for correct alignment on reassembly.

    Thanks in advance for responses.

did you try sticking a Phillips screwdriver in the axle and tap it lightly?

Yes, stuck at the spindle removal, due to there being a bolt on each end of the spindle I ain't sure whether it knocks through from left to right or vice versa. I don't want to set about hitting it too hard until I have all the info.

Stick a wrench into each end and unscrew the bolt then the axle comes out.

I've hit it lightly and then it feels as though it's bottomed out. Don't want to hit too hard as I can't work out whether it comes out left to right or vice versa as it has the bolts both sides.

I've got both the bolts out but then I can't work out whether it's left to right, vice versa or don't matter. I've hit it so far but it feels like it's bottomed out.

Sounds like your squish tube may be stuck. Soak it with some pb blaster and see if it moves

Are you sure you removed all belt tensioners. Usually two per side.
    Axle comes out drive side

Well success, it's out. My next question is this; on the side where the brake caliper bracket sits, two thin spacers fell out. One of these spacers has a shoulder and I didn't see which way the shoulder has to face and it was or whether it was between the bracket and the wheel or the bracket and the frame.....

The spacer with the shoulder goes toward/against the bearing in the hub

Basically corrosion. Took some severe hammering to shift it.
