    Hi all,

So, I may have to replace the quad seal in my transmission and I have a few questions:

-Is it possible to simply remove the pulley spacer and replace the oil seal and quad seal...without having to replace the bearings.

-If this is possible, is it okay to do this?

-If it is okay to do this, I assume the process would be relatively easy after removing the front pulley???

*I am trying to keep from having to get ultra-involved in some major disassembly of the transmission, but I don't want to taka any hazardous short-cuts.

    My next questions involve parts:

-Where can I get the oil seal, quad seal and the pulley locking kit (263-000010-00)?

    Thanks for your inputs!

    Liam

I haven't changed my seal before but he used impact wrench to loosen the sprocket nut
and to tighten it back up you might be able to lock it up by applying rear brake with
    the belt already on.
If not then you will have to lock the pulley with the locking device.

    This is from workshop manual.

Looks like I will need to replace the bearing as well!
I think the bearing just went out. A metal-on-metal grinding sound.
