Np harry, how are the forks working out?
Also checkout my triple trees that were chromed at sport chrome. This is about 3 years and 14k miles later. The bike also sits outside near the ocean while at work. Their chrome is the quality.

My first time polishing aluminum I took few lessons from father with the nushine aluminum polish. They use it on the airplanes at Boeing where he used to work. It's incredible. We started out with flanel and a tongue depressor or Popsicle sticks to get in between the fins of engine. When I bought my bike it was poorly kept clean so I decided to sand the entire engine starting low grit working up to 2000 and then finished with a 3000 thin sanding pad(which works better than paper)
I switched from Popsicle sticks to very thin and bendable Stainless Steel strips and put velcro on end and got the sandpaper with velcro on the back. It worked better than Popsicle sticks. I wanted to use a dremel with felt tip attachments but nothing would fit inside the fins, and the dremel put out to many rpms and spun too fast. So I found these tiny dremel like tools they use at nail salons which are adjustable speed and go from 3000 rpm up to 30,000. And found felt tips that were 5mm which fits in between the fins perfectly. I'm waiting for the rest of the felt tips to arrive so I can finish and when I do I'll post the pics. I spent a ridiculous amount of time sanding because there was so much oxidation and the goal from here on out is to keep up on the polishing so It never looks like when I first bought it again. I highly recommend the nushine it took a dull finish to being able to see your face in it. You would want to start at grade C, then A, then finish with S. I found out after all the sanding that more polishing and a higher grade would have taken out all that oxidation. I don't know though because it was bad and pitted so bad. Looking forward to getting it finished. If anyone else has heard or used nushine I'd like to hear if they have been able to find anything that works better. [IMG][IMG][IMG]
