Wow, I just went back through that long thread. What I wanted to show you is on pages 14 and 15
Buffalo Industries (60235) 13" x 24" Flannel Dust Cloth, (Pack of 12) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00N2HQQ3I/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_kFrmzbKYN1E9G
Just ordered these. Cotton flannel. 12 of them for $15 shipped. Didn't know microfiber scratched till Dent said something about it a few weeks back. Tried an old cotton shirt and sure as heck Mr. Blind You Sparkles was right.

Polished aluminum here's my pitbull motor
Ya, seen it...show off...
Go to Wallyworld and buy it by the yard, for less than $4.00 a yard. Then cut it up in squares and strips.
I use Mothers Billet Polish. Love that stuff! My bike never sees water. I (Wash) it with Mothers Waterless & Wax spray. Works wonders. In case anyone asks, my K9 is not a garage queen. I ride it a lot. Any suggestions on how to polish a little further in between the fins?
I use plastic stix can't remember the name of them and a piece of cotton t shirt, mothers billet works amazing on all the aluminum but with the motor fins I found that white diamond works the best
Mothers billet seems to do the job for me,tried others but always go back to Mothers
Mothers billet works well on aluminum, big fan of it. Any suggestions, tips on how to address the dreaded flaking chrome issues, that some of the dogs are prone to?
I agree mothers billeton everything I just prefer white diamond on fins I get better results
Inherent problem about chrome...
Once it's scratched, pitted, or flakes...it's done. You'll have to replace or replate.
Exactly why I prefer billet aluminum where ever possible.
Pimp Stixxx are the detail tools Dent is probably thinking about. I have a set and they're very useful.
Yes that's them
I just picked up these gun cleaning swabs, going to give them a try.
Finally found something to keep dent busy...
