Fortunately this is a relatively inexpensive upgrade. So if the heat does get to melting or damaging the clear gauge face, it won't cost you your 1st born to replace it or relocate it.

Well there's our answer. The heat clearly isn't damaging the gauge.

Where is it plumbed too? Tappet? My gauge kit came in today but I’m out of town and touch and go when I get back. Gone again over the weekend.

You got it from jersee right? use the fittings it comes with and tap into pressure switch then you won't have to bother with it when changing your oil plus the tappet plug has an o ring on it no sealer required and it looks nicer imo

The oil temp gauge is connected to the tappet screen, But you get all the fitting's you need in the kit from jerzee.

I was referring to the temp gauge setup, curious as to the mount area used. Thanks for the info.

Yes Jerzee. Hopefully I’ll get it done next week when I’m home.

Did you get the bracket to mount the gauge on the rocker box?

Yes, got the whole kit. Haven’t seen it yet though, working away this week to meet corporate needs. Wife is threatening to put it under the tree. Lol.

That is what it's about we are supposed help and share, that would be cool! I don't have the drawing's that I made but I basically tried to copy the oil cooler's and used the mechanical temp gauge by (marshalls) I don't have any close up's.
