Nice try----I heard those extra layers of chrome add enough weight to put you guys in the rear view mirrors. Polished aluminum=gofast..Hahaha

Did Vikings come with the chrome wheels?

I'm actually surprised they had a chrome vs non chrome package on the baggers to be honest.

OK--I just got back from a walkabout I like tondo a couple of times a year. I go from KS to Indianapolis, to Gary, IN, to Chicago mad then back home. Blacktopper and Eric and Curtis and I all went the Mojave desert and Death Valley earlier this year too.
Point being that I started this thread in December with a brand new Bagger with 29 miles on it...below s a photo I took a few minutes ago. I left Chicago this morning HD pulled in my garage at about 7:30 or 8:00 this evening.
Now it's well on the way to being a high mileage Bagger!

Maybe at the end they just used the parts they had on hand to build them, hence the some had chrome and some didn't:cool:

Thanks, Greg. I do enjoy the Bagger. It is a kilt shorter than the K9 and has a significantly shorter rake/trail, so it's quite a bit more stable for touring. The faring really helps knock out wind, I have left it bone stock, with the only issue was a rebuild of the fuel pump because I didn't like how it sounded. Routine 46-50 mpg on the road, mostly 75-80 mph.
One time I had to warm (3 min./hairdryer) the ECH to start it, so I'll need replace it sooner or later, but that's a drop in the bucket compared to my K9, which remains my favorite.
The 111 valves are noisy as the dickens, and I plan to try petroleum oil (maybe with a shot of Lucas additive) this oil change to see if that helps.
